Happy Tuesday! Today, I will actually be reviewing some ‘non Essie’ polishes! I received this absolutely adorable package compliments of Sally Hansen. They recently released the “Good. Kind. Pure.” Collection. Per the information provided in my PR package, this collection is Plant Based, 100% Vegan and 16-free!! This collection is “making clean polish accessible to you at-home with 30 nature-inspired shades.” Love it! Read on for more information on a few of the colors!
Sweet Berries
‘Sweet Berries’ is a beautiful red with shimmer. This is so bright and eye catching. I got quite a few compliments on this polish when I wore it. This is 2 coats plus topcoat. Absolutely stunning. It would look amazing as a pedicure color as well!
Eco-Rose
Another absolutely stunning polish from this line! This is ‘Eco-Rose,’ a stunning dark rose. This was almost a one coater. Such an amazing formula and beautiful color.
Pink Cardamom
I wasn’t sure how I would feel about this polish, and I don’t love the way it looks in the swatch photo, but I actually really love it in person! This polish is called ‘Pink Cardamom,’ and it’s such a pretty peachy, pinky nude. (Say that 3 times fast. Lol.) Another great formula. This is 2 coats plus topcoat.
Golden Quartz
Wow!! This is some serious rose gold goodness right here!! This is ‘Golden Quartz,’ but it’s definitely more rose gold than just gold. This has some beautiful shimmer to it, almost holographic, but not. One thing for sure is that this photo does it NO justice at all!
Peony Origins
Holy HOT PINK goodness!!! This is such a vibrant bright pink! This polish is called ‘Peony Origins,’ and makes me so excited for spring and summer!! This will be a great mani or pedi color for sure!!
Laven-Dear
Another perfect color for Spring!! ‘Laven-Dear’ is a beautiful lilac purple. This was the only polish I had application issues with. I felt like there was something wrong with the brush that made it apply pretty patchy, so it may just have been my bottle. You can see the patchiness on my fourth finger in the swatch. I love the color though!!
Beet It
Obsessed with this vampy burgundy!! ‘Beet It’ is a one coat wonder, and is a must have! You can never go wrong with these dark wine colors!
Final Thoughts?
Overall, I love these polishes! The formula on all except one of them is amazing, but I really think it was just that there was an issue with the brush. I love the colors that were sent to me, and they have even more beautiful colors on the website. Looking through the colors, I may also want to snag ‘Crystal Blue.’ I love pastel blues for spring! As far as the topcoat goes, I wasn’t a huge fan because it wasn’t a quick dry topcoat, but definitely would recommend the polishes themselves! You can find these at Target, Ulta and Wal-Mart! They run between $7-9 per bottle. Will you be buying any of these?!?!
