Today I’m sharing the new Orly Fall 2025 ‘1990s’ Collection! Orly has been celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year by releasing polishes relevant to each decade. The decade chosen for the Fall collection is the 90s. I’m not sure how these colors necessarily represent the 90s, but I am sure that I’m a fan of these shades! This collection has a little bit of Fall with a splash of other shades that will be perfect to wear throughout the year. Keep reading for swatches and descriptions or watch the video for live swatches and comparisons.
On a Break

‘On a Break’ is a “purple-gray toned white as laid-back and unpredictable as a 90s sitcom storyline.” I love the subtle purple-gray undertones in this polish and was surprised that it was an easy two coater. This nail polish was so easy to apply and looks fabulous on the nails. It’s a nice “blank canvas” type of polish to transition to Fall.
Totally Clueless

‘Totally Clueless’ is a “pink lavender crème that is a perfect blend of playful and pastel, just like the effortlessly chic style of your favorite 90s fashion icon.” This is one of my favorite nail polishes from this collection. I love the muted qualities and really adore the pinky purple tones. I think this is also going to be the perfect transition shade from Summer to Fall. It’s an easy two coater that applies like butter.
How Tragic

‘How Tragic’ is an “iris purple crème that is the perfect balance of edgy and elegant, a tribute to the dramatic yet empowering style of 90s grunge queens.” I really, really love the way this purple applies. It’s definitely not necessarily what I think of when I think of Fall nail polish, but it’s still worth the purchase.
GRLPWR

‘GRLPWR’ is a “juicy red crème as bold and empowering as the iconic girl power movement of the 1990s.” This polish is a very bright cherry red that I think will be perfect for Christmas. I would have rather had more of a burgundy shade in place of this red for Fall, but I get how it seems like a juicy red from the 1990s. It’s another two coater with a beautiful formula.
Grunge Glam

‘Grunge Glam’ is a “washed black crème, exuding the raw, gritty allure of 90s grunge.” When I first swatched this polish, I actually thought it was a very dark green. It does have a slight green tone, but I would say it leans more dark gray/black than anything. The first coat was quite sheer, but it built up nicely on the second coat.
Spice Up Your Life

‘Spice Up Your Life’ is a “rust orange crème that radiates confidence and energy like the unforgettable vibes of the 90s era.” Now this is the color I think of when I think of Fall. This is that signature pumpkin spice shade that we all love in Fall nail polish collections. It’s an easy 1 coater on my nails, and is pure perfection.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I think the new Orly Fall 2025 1990s Collection is a beautiful mix of bright shades and some Fall colors. I don’t necessarily think these shades speak “1990s” to me. I also don’t feel they seem overly Fall. They are all beautiful polishes, though, and I’m so glad I have them. They were sent to me compliments of Orly and are available on the Orly website. I’m hopeful that they will soon be available on the Beyond Polish website as well. My affiliate code for 10% off on Beyond Polish is BIV10. Thank you so much if you choose to use it.
