The new Opi Fall 2024 Collection is here and it’s full of gorgeous metallic and shimmering nail polishes! These polishes are available in the regular nail lacquer and gel formula. There are 12 polishes in this collection and you can pick them up at Beyond Polish (affiliate link). Keep reading for swatch photos and descriptions or watch my YouTube video below for live swatches and comparisons.
Cyber Cherry on Top
‘Cyber Cherry on Top’ is a beautiful 2 coater. This polish is a “cherry pink metallic nail polish.” Despite the description saying this one is a metallic, I feel like this is more of a shimmer. It’s not streaky at all and applies like butter. It will be a fabulous color to wear heading into the holidays!
Millennium Mocha
‘Millennium Mocha’ is my absolute fave from this collection. It’s a “mocha brown with a metallic finish.” This polish also has some shimmer in it that keeps it from looking super streaky. I also noticed that the polish in the bottle looks different than the polish on the nails. The polish on the nails almost has a red/purple tone to it. Definitely a must have for fall. Application is amazing and it’s opaque in two easy coats.
Cyborn Again
‘Cyborn Again’ is a “metallic lilac” nail polish that is opaque in 1-2 coats. This does have that streaky finish that metallic nail polish is known for. I don’t mind the streaks and I usually paint two coats just to make sure that last coat has nice, even brush strokes.
Liquid Fire
‘Liquid Fire’ is the perfect name for this stunning “metallic molten orange.” I absolutely love shades like this for Fall. This applies so nicely and is another must have for the season.
Supernova Pearl
‘Supernova Pearl’ is a “metallic rose quartz.” This is another polish that has the streaky metallic finish. I’m not a fan of this polish against my skin tone, but I’m sure it will look fab on some of you. I do love this one with the Essie “Lustrous Luxury” Special Effects polish as a topper.
You’ve Got Nail
‘You’ve Got Nail’ is a “metallic periwinkle.” It’s another streaky metallic, but I always like periwinkle shades like this. When I first saw it, I immediately thought of Essie ‘Girly Grunge’ from a few years ago. That was a limited edition polish, so it’s nice to have another polish that’s similar.
Sa-turn Me On
‘Sa-turn Me On’ is a fabulous color for Fall. This one is a “metallic bronze” that is opaque in one coat. It’s quite interesting because it looks bronze in some lighting and green in some lighting. Such a pretty polish.
CosMic Drop
‘CosMic Drop’ is another beauty from the collection. It’s a “metallic violet” that is opaque in two easy coats. This is another streaky polish due to it being a metallic finish, but it glows on the nail.
CD Rom-antic
Opi ‘CD Rom-antic’ is a beautiful “rust red metallic” nail polish that is opaque in 2 easy coats. This polish was much more sheer than I expected on the first coat, but the second coat added the perfect amount of opacity. I didn’t notice any streaks with this polish as it was more of a shimmer metallic than pure metallic. That being said, it was easy to remove, but I recommend a base coat to prevent staining.
Y2 Slay
‘Y2 Slay’ has the same formula as ‘CD Rom-antic.’ This polish is a “metallic cobalt blue” that is opaque in two easy coats. I didn’t notice any streaks with this polish as it has some shimmer in it that helps decrease streakiness. Definitely wear a base coat with this one. Blue polish tends to stain.
Chrome Clawz
I had a terrible time applying ‘Chrome Clawz.’ It had a very, very thick and streaky formula. It’s described as a “silver metallic.” We definitely all have better silver metallics in our collection than this one. I would pass on it.
Metallic Rewind
‘Metallic Rewind’ is a “gold metallic” that is very yellow toned. The formula on this one is somewhat similar to ‘Chrome Clawz,” so I’m not the biggest fan to be honest. We also have so many gold metallics available that have better formulas.
Final Thoughts?
So what are your thoughts on the new Opi Fall 2024 Collection? If you’re not a fan of metallics, it’s probably not going to be your fave, but I do really appreciate that Opi gave us some fun finishes. I will definitely be wearing ‘Millennium Mocha’ a lot this season, and will most definitely never reach for ‘Chrome Clawz.’ Let me know your thoughts. Check out the Opi Collection from last year here to see how it compared.
