There is a new setting spray on the block! The new firming setting spray from Beauty Blender promises a lot, but does it deliver? Let’s take a look at the promises. This setting spray is a 4-in-1 Firming Peptide 18-hour setting spray that contains micro-powders to help blur pores and reduce shine. The peptides in this product help lift and firm. It contains caffeine to energize and smooth and mimosa flower extract to help brighten the skin. Vitamin B5 hydrates the skin and ceramides nourish and replenish the skin barrier. So, it’s basically magic in a bottle?
I purchased this from Sephora because I was eager for a spray that does all the things. For reference, I have dry aging skin. Let’s take a look at how it held up to what it promised!

18 Hour Setting Spray
I’ve worn this product to work every day and during a few hikes and workouts. This truly does keep my makeup set throughout the day at work. My makeup looks as fresh when I get home as it did when I left in the morning. I did notice that I had some weird settling after a strenuous hike in the heat, but I shouldn’t have been wearing makeup on that hike in the first place. Lol.
Blurs Pores & Reduces Shine
Unfortunately, I noticed no pore blurring when using this spray. It did not emphasize my pores either though. In regards to reducing shine, I very rarely have shine because my skin is pretty dry. Let’s just say it didn’t cause any shine.
Energizes & Smooths
I’m not sure how to measure how this product energized my skin and I’ll have to admit that I did not notice any smoothing. I will say, though, that my makeup did look nice after applying this.
Brightens, Hydrates & Firms
I’m not sure I have been using this long enough to notice any brightening. I feel like it would be more beneficial to spray this before makeup to notice this effect. As for hydrating, I would say this may leave my skin feeling a little more dry after application. It seems that this drying feeling may contribute to your skin feeling firmer. Whether it actually firms beyond that, I have yet to see.
Final Thoughts?
So, what are my final thoughts on the new firming setting spray from Beauty Blender? Overall, I like it. It really does help my makeup stay put all day. I’m not sure about the other benefits this product promises, but maybe after using for months I will notice a difference. It does come at a pretty hefty price, but I do really feel like it’s more than just spraying water on your face. Let me know if you pick this up and what your thoughts are!
