I’m excited, yet hesitant, to share the new Essie Fall 2023 Nail Polish Collection sneak peek already. Summers in Seattle are the best, so I never want to rush rain and cooler weather, but nonetheless, companies release these collections early every year. ANNNNND…Fall is one of my favorite seasons, so I’m also always super excited about seeing the shades of the season.
This collection seems to be centered around music in some way, which actually reminds me of the Fall 2021 Collection now that I think about it. Either way, I really like this color story and I’m excited to swatch them soon. They are currently available at Ulta and will be available at Beyond Polish soon. Let’s get right into these beauties.

Dance ‘Til Dawn
‘Dance ’til Dawn’ is a “muted gray white nail polish with pink undertones and a cream finish.” I’ll be curious to see how this looks in person. It looks very baby pink in the promo photos, but the description makes it seem like it may be more gray. At first glance, I will be curious to see how this compares to Essie ‘Romper Room’ and ‘Fiji.’
Full Blast
‘Full Blast’ is a “richly dark ruby red nail polish with blue undertones.” I love reds with blue undertones, so I will likely love this one. It’s always so hard for me to decide on which reds I should compare, so let me know if you have any specific requests on this one!
Lights Down Music Up
‘Lights Down, Music Up’ is a “muted mauve brown nail polish with red undertones and a cream finish.” I’m predicting that this will be my favorite from the collection. I’ll be excited to see how it compares to Essie ‘Home by 8″ and “Mink Muffs.”
Meet Me at Midnight
You can’t have a fall collection without a green, right? ‘Meet Me at Midnight’ is a “deep olive green nail polish with yellow undertones and a cream finish.” There are so many greens from Essie that I cannot wait to compare this beauty to. Some of you may know I haven’t been the biggest fan of greens in the past, but they have definitely grown on me over the past few years. I’m super excited about this one.
Step Out of Line
First thing I think when I see this polish is, I bet it’s a stainer. Second thing I think is I will wear a base coat and hope that this is a dupe to my fave dark blue, Essie ‘Style Cartel.’ Stay tuned to my YouTube Channel to see how it compares. ‘Step Out of Line’ is a “richly dark indigo blue nail polish with red undertones and a cream finish.”
Underground Ball
And last, but not least is ‘Underground Ball,’ a “dark plum purple nail polish with red undertones and a cream finish.” This may be another fave from the collection. I am obsessed with purple shades like this and I can’t wait to see how it compares to other purples in my collection. Let me know if you have any specific requests for comparisons!
Final Thoughts
So what are your thoughts on the new Essie Fall 2023 Collection? I’m personally pretty excited about these. I think my faves will be the purple, green, brown and blue. The red and pink are also super pretty, but I am pretty much obsessed with the other four. There is not one polish in this collection that I’m not excited about! Bring on Fall…in a month or two.

I’m SO excited for ALL of these!! I’m in the UK and they don’t always release the whole range here which really upsets me as I’m Essie obsessed! But I think Hear me Aurora might be a similar ish shade to the red as that red with blue undertones? Can’t wait for the YouTube vid 🙂

I have Hear Me Aurora, so I’ll definitely compare that one for you!
