Dance ’til Dawn
‘Dance ’til Dawn’ is a “muted gray white nail polish with pink undertones.” This is a gorgeous creme polish that is opaque in 2-3 coats. I noticed just a few dark patches after the second coat and decided to do a third. It’s such a gorgeous creme polish and I like that it’s a bit muted for Fall.
Step Out of Line
‘Step Out of Line’ is a “rich dark indigo blue nail polish with red undertones.” This is another creme finish, but this one is almost a one coat wonder. I did two coats here for full opacity and I’m loving this beauty. It’s so shiny and so perfect. Definitely make sure to wear a base coat to prevent staining as many blue nail polishes can tend to stain.
Lights Down, Music Up
‘Lights Down, Music Up’ is a “muted mauve brown nail polish with red undertones.” This beauty is a creme that is opaque in two coats. I think I’m going to have to say this is my fave from this collection because it’s the most unique to my collection. The formula on this one is so smooth and it’s a must have.
Full Blast
‘Full Blast’ is a “rich, dark ruby red nail polish with blue undertones.” I love deep reds like this for Fall. I did find one pretty close dupe to this. It was a dupe in regards to color and in the way that it applied. It’s a 2 coater and it’s beautiful. The only problem I had with ‘Full Blast’ is that it stained the heck out of my cuticles when removing…even with acetone. You’ve been warned. Lol.
Underground Ball
‘Underground Ball’ is a “dark plum purple nail polish with red undertones.” This is a creme polish that was opaque in 2-3 coats. Purple nail polish is always a fave of mine. I was sure I’d find quite a few dupes, but I only found one nail polish that was pretty close.
Meet Me at Midnight
A Fall nail polish collection would not be complete without an olive green polish. ‘Meet Me at Midnight’ is a “deep olive green nail polish with yellow undertones.” This is another creme polish and was opaque in 2 easy coats. I will say that this polish looks almost black when it’s not shown under bright lights, so keep that in mind.
Final Thoughts?
What are your thoughts on the new Essie Fall 2023 Nail Polish Collection? Personally, I’m a fan. Essie included all of my fave colors to wear for Fall in this collection. Sure, it’s not a super unique collection, but it is a solid group of polishes to add to your collection.
