So, is the Natasha Denona Hy-Glam Concealer really that good? I have seen nothing but rave reviews on this concealer. Typically, anything that gets rave reviews does NOT work for me, so I had my doubts. This concealer is sold at Ulta, Sephora and on the Natasha Denona website for $30.00. Having quite a hefty price tag for a concealer, I was hesitant to try this out, but slid into Sephora to pick it up.
THE BENEFITS
So, what excited me about this concealer? Well, I have dry skin, I’m 44 years old and have fine lines and wrinkles that all makeup likes to settle into. The promise of this being a brightening and hydrating concealer with collagen synthesis was all I needed to hear. This is said to be an anti-aging concealer that reduces dark circles and increases skin hydration. It’s also crease proof, talc free and lightweight with a medium-buildable natural finish. It basically sounds like a magic wand, right?
It certainly has a fabulous wand. I actually really enjoy the pointed tip that allows me to get right up to the corner of my lower lid. The tip was very comfortable and easy to use, but the positives stopped there for me. I tried this with a variety of products to try to get the best result. Immediately after applying, I noticed that this made my undereyes look dry, and every fine line was emphasized. I tried my holy, holy, holy grail powder over this to see if it would help blur some of those lines. It did blur them a bit, but not enough. It also didn’t provide any noticeable brightening under my eyes compared to other concealers that I have used.
Final Thoughts?
My final thoughts on this concealer? If makeup products that most people like work for you, pick this up. If you’re like me, and have issues with products that are faves of basically everyone, check out the Too Faced Born this Way Ethereal Light Concealer or Lancome Teint Idole All Over Concealer. I have honestly used both concealers under my eyes, and even all over my face with great results. If you have dry, aging undereyes, I highly recommend giving them a try.
So, is the Natasha Denona Hy-Glam Concealer really that good? You be the judge for yourself. Take my thoughts and opinions with a grain of salt because they seem to be unpopular opinion. XOXO
