The new gorgeous Essie Gel Couture Fashion Freedom Collection is a gorgeous collection of 6 polishes. These beauties are currently available on Amazon.com. Just a side note, Essie Gel Couture polishes are not actually gel polishes. They are simply longwear polishes that appear to have a gel-like finish. I have not tested the longevity of these, but I have heard many say that they do last up to a week. You may use the Gel Couture topcoat with these, or you can use your own favorite topcoat. I use the Seche Vite topcoat for a quick dry option.
Essie Tassel Free
‘Tassel Free’ is a beautiful “light gray creme with red undertones.” This polish is so much prettier in person, and is the perfect nude. It is opaque in 2-3 easy coats. Check out my YouTube review to see how this one compares to Essie ‘Master Plan’ as well as many other popular Essie nudes.
Essie Woven at Heart
‘Woven at Heart’ is my least fave color from this collection, but it’s still very pretty. This polish is a “neutral clay shimmer with rosy undertones.” If this didn’t have the shimmer, I would like it even less. The shimmer makes this one a little more fun. I’m just not generally a fan of rosy colors like this on my skin tone.
Essie Cut Loose
‘Cut Loose’ is the perfect muted blue that we all love to wear. This beauty has gray and yellow undertones that make this a little more unique than a lot of the blues that have been released recently! I did a lot of blue comparisons in my video if you’re interested!
Essie Wilder Than I Seam
Love, love, love this pink! ‘Wilder Than I Seam’ is a stunning “vibrant pink violet with blue undertones.” I did two coats for this swatch photo, and I think it’s perfect!
Essie Put in the Patchwork
THIS red!!! ‘Put in the Patchwork’ is a “neutral red creme with warm undertones.” I did 2 coats for this beauty, and I think this is a must have red for your collection!
Essie In-Vest in Style
Another gorgeous green by Essie! ‘In-Vest in Style’ is a “mid-toned green with blue undertones.” Essie kills it anytime they make a green, and this is definitely no exception! Check out my video to see how this one compares to other Essie greens!

You’ve convinced me to get In-Vest in Style and helped me avoid Put in the Patchwork (Angora Cardi is a deathly deep purple-brown on me and since Patchwork isn’t too far off, it wouldn’t work on me). It looks like In-Vest is what I hoped Off Tropic would be, but Off Tropic is basically black on me. And I have to get Cut Loose because it looks to me like a cross between Mooning and Flight of Fantasy and that’s something I’m so here for. Stay warm!!
