So excited that Spring Collections are here! My fave thing to do when I receive a new collection is to do comparison swatches. I love to see what I have in my collection that may be a dupe for the new polishes so I can let YOU know if you need a polish or not. Most of the time, I will tell you that you NEED all of the polishes. 😉
The only polish I did not do a comparison to is “Make a Splash.” I have no polishes in my collection that are similar to that polish, so I will just go ahead and tell you, YOU NEED IT! See my previous post for reviews and descriptions of all of the polishes, and let me know your fave!
Rainwear Don’t Care
I’ve got two comparison photos to share with you for ‘Rainwear Don’t Care.’ This is a beautiful nude polish that is most like Essie ‘Sand Tropez,’ which came out in the Spring 2011 Collection. ‘Rainwear Don’t Care’ almost has a greenish undertone that’s hard to describe, but can be seen in the photo above. ‘Buttoned & Buffed’ was a little more peachy, while ‘Urban Jungle’ is more pink.Â
The ‘green-ish’ undertones in ‘Rainwear Don’t Care’ can be seen a little better here when compared to other Essie nudes. I didn’t realize how many Essie nudes had pink undertones!Â
Kissed by Mist
Pink shimmers? Yes, please. I’ll take one of each! No dupes to Essie ‘Kissed by Mist’ in my collection. The pink shimmers above are either darker, lighter or more ‘foiled’ than ‘Kissed…’ I love that ‘Kissed by Mist’ has such a pretty blue shimmer!!
Feeling Wellies
Back when everyone was hoping and wishing for an Essie yellow, we had no idea that there could be SO MANY YELLOWS!! We’re not complaining, are we? Loving all of the yellow options Essie has been giving us over the past few collections. The differences are certainly clear in the photo above. Question is…which is your fave?!?
Spring in Your StepÂ
I have so many Essie purples in my collection, but still couldn’t find a dupe for ‘Spring in Your Step.’ The shimmer in this polish is so pretty, and makes this polish a must have. It gives it that extra sheen! Don’t miss out on this beauty!
Can Dew AttitudeÂ
Last, but not least, is the comparison to ‘Can Dew Attitude.’ Essie does green polish so well!! You can see here that ‘Can Dew…’ is more pastel than the rest of the greens. I didn’t label it, but ‘Going Guru’ is on my thumb. It has more of a yellow tone to it than the other polishes.Â
Which polish from this collection are you most excited about? Any other polishes that you think may be dupes that you would like me to compare?Â
