It’s time to introduce you to this beautiful collection, the Essie Originals Remixed Collection! I shared a brief preview of this collection a few months ago. This collection is a limited edition collection that features some of Essie’s most “iconic shades while introducing their ‘remixed’ spinoff shades.” There are 12 shades total in the collection, counting the originals. I love and own all of the originals, so I was super excited to add the remixed versions to my collection.

Below Zero

‘Below Zero’ is a twist on ‘Smokin’ Hot.’ It is a “smoky gray with purple undertones and icy finish.” This is a beautiful shimmer that was opaque in 2 coats. It’s so shiny and stunning!

Ballet Sneakers

‘Ballet Sneakers’ is a remix of ‘Ballet Slippers,’ and is a “pink with blue undertones, and a soft matte finish.” This is 3 easy coats. I did not apply a topcoat here so that you can see the gorgeous finish. It’s not a 100% true matte, but more a satiny matte. It’s AMAZING!!!!

Satin Slip

‘Satin Slip’ is a remix on ‘Angora Cardi,’ and is a “soft, rose tone pink with a sheer finish.” I applied 3 coats here. The polish is very easily buildable, and has a jelly-like finish when built up.

Wicked Fierce

‘Wicked Fierce’ is a GORGEOUS spinoff of the classic ‘Wicked.’ THIS polish is a must have! 2 coats shown here. It’s a “deep dark blackened red with a mysterious duo chrome.” This will be on my nails all the time in the Fall!

Berry Nice

‘Berry Nice’ is a spin on ‘Berry Naughty,’ and is a “bright, shimmering berry red.” I feel this polish leans a little more pink than red. It’s ‘berry’ pretty!! Lol! But for real, it’s so pretty. This is 2 coats. No topcoat!!

Like a Rebel

‘Like a Rebel’ is the remixed version of ‘Lady Like.’ It is a “neutral mauve with an electrifying gold pearl.” This is 2 coats. No topcoat. 

Final Thoughts?

I LOVE the idea behind the Essie Originals Remixed Collection! It’s such a creative spin on 6 classic Essie shades. My top 4 from the collection are: Below Zero, Berry Nice, Ballet Sneakers and Wicked Fierce. My least fave from the collection is ‘Like a Rebel’ because I don’t feel it looks good on my skin tone. I do like ‘Satin Slip,’ but I just absolutely LOVE the other 4 so much more. Great collection with some definite must haves!
