When I first found out that Essie Fall 2022 Collection had a polish that was called ‘Hike it Up,’ I knew I was going to have to take these beauties on a hike. I hiked out to a beautiful lake in Leavenworth, Washington, filmed my video, and enjoyed the view with these polishes.
This collection consists of 6 cream polishes with fabulous formulas. Essie has really become very consistent with their formulas, and their brushes are top notch. Hike it Up
I’ll start with my two least faves from the collection. I’m just not a huge fan of these colors with my skin tone, but I know they look amazing on some of you. ‘Hike it Up’ is a “midtone neutral tan with yellow undertones.” This is a two coater that applies like butter, so if you love shades like this, it’s a must have.
Off the Grid
‘Off the Grid’ has one of the most interesting descriptions I’ve ever read for a nail polish. This is a “warm mushroom brown with gray undertones.” I don’t necessarily see the gray undertones in this one. I totally see mushroom gravy though. Nevertheless, it does have a great formula, and is opaque in 2 coats.
Bold & Boulder
This is one of the richest colors in the Essie Fall Collection. The formula of ‘Bold & Boulder’ is pure perfection and makes this polish a must have. ‘Bold & Boulder’ is a “deep burgundy with brown undertones.” You have found the perfect Fall burgundy right here!
Risk-Takers Only
Whoooooaaa buddy!!! I usually don’t even like colors like this, but this polish changed my mind. ‘Risk-Takers Only’ is a “vibrant orange with red undertones.” It looks a little more red than orange in the swatch photo, so keep in mind that this one really is a bright orange. Great formula. Another must have.
Force of Nature
Another ultra rich polish for Fall!! ‘Force of Nature’ is a “deep forest green with yellow undertones.” This is a green that I love. I compared it to ‘Off Tropic’ in my video if you’re interested in seeing how they compare. Another great formula.
Transcend the Trend
‘Transcend the Trend’ is my fave from this collection. This beauty is a “muted teal blue with yellow undertones,” and is opaque in 2 easy coats. Not your typical Fall color, but definitely fun!
