Don’t be Spotted

Ok, so I own absolutely nothing like ‘Don’t be Spotted.’ It’s such a fun shimmery orange. ‘Fall for NYC’ would be a dupe if it were one shade lighter and had shimmer.

You can see a comparison to ‘Aim to Misbehave’ below, but that polish is definitely more yellow. ‘Don’t be Spotted’ is a gorgeous 2 coater that is a must have if you’re an orange fan!

Swing of Things

Next up is Essie ‘Swing of Things.’ If you’re an Essie fan, you already know that they have a TON of these shades. It’s REALLY hard to see in the photo, but the only polish here that I would consider a dupe is ‘New Year, New Hue’ from the Winter 2017 Collection! ‘Bahama Mama’ and ‘Designated DJ’ are both just a tad darker. 

 I did not find any dupes out of the group of polishes above, but wanted to show you how each polish differs from the other. It was interesting to see the red tones in ‘Nailed It.’ I never really thought of it as being so red!

Waterfall in Love

‘Waterfall in Love’ is an absolute must have!! The formula is AMAZING!! Again, I was sure I had a dupe for this polish, but not so much. The closest is ‘All the Wave,’ but ‘Waterfall’ is actually a bit darker. 

Again, no exact dupes in the photo above; however, you can see that ‘Mesmerized’ is pretty close. It’s just a tad bit lighter.

Heart of the Jungle

‘Heart of the Jungle’ is a gorgeous green for Fall!! I have quite a few green polishes, but did not run across any dupes here. I suspect this will be a VERY popular polish in the Fall!!!

You can see a few more greens in the photo above, but definitely no dupes. Anybody else love ‘So Matcha Energy’ from the new Essie Expressie Collection? Stay tuned for a video on all of those new shades!! They are soooo perfect!!

Adrenaline Brush

Red polishes are the hardest color to capture accurately, especially in a comparison post. There were no dupes here, but the closest polish is definitely ‘Forever Yummy.’ If you love reds, get this one just because the formula is THAT GOOD!!

Cargo Cameo

I’m obsessed with brown polish for Fall. ‘Cargo Cameo’ is definitely my fave from this collection. This was 2 coats here, and it’s stunning. I have no dupes in my collection, although ‘Sun-day Style’ is fairly similar. I was surprised to see how gold ‘Leggy Legend’ looked next to ‘Cargo Cameo!’

Final Thoughts?

The Essie Fall 2020 collection is amazing!! Essie keeps knocking it out of the park with their absolutely perfect formulas! Each of these polishes has such a buttery formula that you can’t pass them up. As far as the color palette goes, I think it’s a pretty mix of Fall colors. I kinda wish there was a little more of a mustardy hue to ‘Don’t be Spotted,’ but it’s still super pretty!!
