Happy Tuesday, friends!! Today, I am reviewing 4 rose toned shades from the Essie Expressie Line!! I have two other posts on this collection so far, and plan to do a few more, so stay tuned! I currently own 33 of the polishes from the line, so I will share each color, swatch and review here on my blog and on my YouTube channel over the next few weeks! On to the swatches!
Checked In
‘Checked In’ is a beautiful nude pink that was opaque in 2 coats. There is a beautiful shimmer that you can see in the bottle, but it doesn’t really transfer to the nail unfortunately. Nevertheless, the polish is such a pretty polish that applies like butter!!
Trend & Snap
‘Trend & Snap’ is a MUST HAVE!! Described as a “dirty, blue toned pink,” this polish has a stunning shimmer that makes it SO unique!! This applied nicely in two coats! Obsessed!!
Second Hand, First Love
‘Second Hand, First Love’ is a gorgeous “dusty rose pink.” These rose polishes apply so nicely. This is another two coater. You just cannot pass up this formula! So good!!
Party Mix & Match
‘Party Mix & Match’ is almost a one coat wonder, and is described as a “flesh toned pink.” Definitely not my flesh tone though. LOL! This is the darkest of the four rose toned polishes. I’ll be interested to see how this one compares to some of the polishes from the Essie Rocky Rose Collection!! Expect to see some comparison swatches soon!Â
Final Thoughts?
I’m loving all four of these polishes, but my fave is ‘Trend & Snap!’ I love the fun shimmer!! All four of the polishes applied in 2 coats, and dried very quickly. The polishes are currently available at Ulta, Fred Meyer, Kohl’s, Amazon, Walgreens, CVS, and Target.Â
Let me know if there are any specific comparisons that you would like to see, and I’ll get that together for you! I will be comparing some of the classic Essie rose polishes, such as Eternal Optimist and Lady Like, as well as some of the Rocky Rose Collection polishes!Â
