Essie Blue Moon Halloween 2020 Collection

I’m sure by now you have all heard of the Essie Blue Moon Halloween 2020 Collection!! Only recently did I actually find out that it was called the Blue Moon Collection, so I had to do some research on why it was named after the Blue Moon! Well, it turns out the the Blue Moon will fall on Halloween this year. It is called the Blue Moon because it is the 2nd of 2 full moons in a calendar month. Yikes! I don’t like one full moon in a calendar month…let alone two!! Lol!!

At this time, I have only seen this collection at Target. I’m not entirely sure if it is going to be exclusive to Target, or if it will be available everywhere. I hope it’s available everywhere, including other countries. I did make a Youtube video with some comparisons, so if you’re interested in that, see below. Once in a Blue Moon

‘Once in a Blue Moon’ is an absolute stunner. This is almost a one coat wonder! The glitters in this polish almost look like a sandwich mani. It has some larger flecks of glitter mixed in with tinier flecks. The formula is similar to Essie ‘Tied & Blue’ from their Winter 2019 Collection. 

Broom with a View

When I first saw this polish in the bottle, it looked very similar to ‘Once in a Blue Moon,’ minus the larger glitters. When it is applied to the nail however, it leans more purple. This is an absolute MUST HAVE!!! This is 2 thin coats of heaven. There are pink and blue glitters in this that make it so eye catching. Love it!

So Stellar

‘So Stellar’ looks like just another gold glitter, but this one is so much more!! I compared this to ‘Mosaic on Down’ and ‘Getting Groovy’ in the video. ‘So Stellar’ has the most “stellar-esque” glitters I have ever seen. They shine bright like a diamond, and who doesn’t love diamonds. You need this in your polish collection!

Spells Trouble

Oh, you know, just another absolutely gorgeous polish that is a must have!! ‘Spells Trouble’ is a stunning slate gray/silver polish that will blow your mind. It is a 2 coater! You can see a comparison to Essie ‘Gadget Free’ in my video. 

Payback’s a Witch

My fave name in the collection is ‘Payback’s a Witch!’ Such a cute name!! This polish is a black base with some gold and green/blue shimmer. This is another 2 coater that glides on like butter. So pretty!!

Like a Charm

And then we have ‘Like a Charm.’ WOW this is gorgeous! Another 2 coater. This is a navy blue base with green and gold glitter. Such a fun and mysterious looking polish!!! 

Final Thoughts?

You definitely need this collection if you love smooth, shimmery, glittery polishes that apply like butter!! I love each and every one of the polishes in the Essie Blue Moon Halloween 2020 Collection! Which polish or polishes do you plan to pick up?
