The China Glaze Cali Dreams Collection is the new Spring 2021 Collection. It is “inspired by sultry sunsets, cool blue skies and coastal California surf.’ This is one of my fave Spring Collections, but you can check out my other Spring reviews here. Feel free to keep reading for swatches and descriptions, or check out my video below for live swatches and comparisons.
Shore Feels Good
‘Shore Feels Good’ is a “vibrant teal blue” that is opaque in 2 coats. This is such a fun color! I compared this to quite a few older Essie blues, such as ‘Strut Your Stuff’ and ‘N’ama Stay the Night.’
Tangerine Heat
‘Tangerine Heat’ is another stunner!! It is a “soft yellow orange creme.” This polish is an easy 3 coater that will be perfect for Spring & Summer.Â
Sunny You Should Ask
‘Sunny You Should Ask’ is another orange toned polish in this collection. It’s a “peachy orange creme” that is opaque in 2 coats. This one almost leaned a little more Fall, so I compared it to Essie ‘Fall for NYC.’ They were very close.Â
Sunset Crew
‘Sunset Crew’ is a pink coral that is similar to coral Essie polishes such as ‘Throw in the Towel’ and ‘Lounge Lover.’ This is a 2-3 coater. It is the perfect bright pinky coral for Spring.Â
I’m No Tourist
‘I’m No Tourist’ is a “barely there nude beige creme.” This polish is a 2 coater that has a beautiful formula. It’s basically the color of sand!
Live in the Mo-Mint
‘Live in the Mo-Mint’ is an absolutely stunning “light mint green” that is opaque in 3 coats. This polish was the hardest to work with of all of the polishes, but it was still very nice.Â
Vacay Dreams
‘Vacay Dreams’ is a “pinky nude” that is comparable to some coral/pink Essie polishes, such as ‘Van D’Go’ and ‘Excuse Me, Sur.” This polish was opaque in 3 coats, and has a great formula.Â
Surfside Skies
Holy Moly, I am so obsessed with this polish. The photo does it no justice, but this is ‘Surfside Skies.’ ‘Surfside Skies’ is a bright “periwinkle blue” that you know I had to compare to ‘Bikini so Teeny.’ This is a 2 coater, and my fave of the collection.Â
Final Thoughts?
I love this collection. Not only am I a fan of the theme behind the collection, but I love the formulas. I also like colors and names. The China Glaze Cali Dreams Collection is a definite must have. The End. 🙂Â
