I’m so excited to share the new Orly Breathable “Melting Point” Collection for Spring/Summer 2024. This collection was sent to me compliments of Orly. When I picked these up, I opened the box and my jaw dropped because of how gorgeous these polishes were. They’re so vibrant and they all have such a gorgeous finish.
The collection is currently available on the Orly website. Five of the six polishes are also available on Amazon. (affiliate link) “The Floor is Lava” is the only one not available on Amazon at the time.
The Orly Breathable line is said to be a “1 step” line. No base or topcoat are needed; however, I always wear a topcoat. I’m getting better about wearing a basecoat, but definitely didn’t wear one with these. Per the Orly website, the formula is supposed to “prevent chipping and peeling and is infused with Argan Oil, Pro Vitamin B5 and Vitamin C for longer lasting manicures, and healthier, stronger nails.”
Keep reading for swatches and descriptions of each polish or watch the review below for live swatches and comparisons.
Erupt To No Good
This first beauty looks like lava on your nails. ‘Erupt To No Good’ is a “golden orange shimmer for when Erupt to no Good and want others to know.” First of all, I love the name of this polish. Such a cute and creative name. It has a fabulous formula that is opaque in two easy coats and is a must have from this collection!
Alloy Matey
Another absolute beauty from this collection, this is ‘Alloy Matey,’ a “bright purple shimmer that is a sea of perfection.” This polish also has a fabulous formula and is opaque in two coats. I love the shimmer in this polish so much.
Cesium the Day
‘Cesium the Day’ was my least fave from this collection. It’s a gorgeous yellow shimmer, but it took three coats for full opacity. Three coats is pretty typical to build up a yellow polish, so if you’re looking for a pretty yellow, this one is fabulous.
Having a Smeltdown
Next up is one of my faves from the collection. I do feel like Orly has released quite a few polishes in this shade range lately though. Make sure to check out my comparisons if you’re interested in seeing how this polish compares to the other recent releases. ‘Having a Smeltdown’ is a beautiful turqouise” inspired by the purest form of liquid ore.” This polish was also opaque in two easy coats.
The Floor is Lava
Boy, do I love this pink!! This polish is my fave from the collection. ‘The Floor is Lava’ is an “energetic golden pink shimmer inspired by the flow of a lava lamp.” It’s more of a coral pink and the shimmer in this is stunning. Another easy two coater that all pink lovers need.
Glass Act
Last, but not least, ‘Glass Act’ is a very pretty “aqua blue shimmer” that is opaque in two coats.I love wearing blue on my nails and the shimmer in this makes it even more stunning. Another fave. So many faves in this collection. Lol. Highly recommend picking this one up.
Final Thoughts?
So, what do you think about the new Orly Breathable “Melting Point” Collection for Spring/Summer 2024? I’m loving it and think Orly is killing it this year! They are quickly becoming one of my favorite nail polish brands, always behind Essie. No other brand will ever top my love for Essie. Lol.
