The new Orly Breathable Fall/Winter ‘Spice it Up’ Collection has arrived! This gorgeous 6 piece collection is now available on the Orly website. If you’re not familiar with the Orly Breathable line, it’s a polish line that doesn’t require a base or topcoat. It’s meant to be a one step formula that doesn’t require a topcoat or basecoat. I still use a topcoat for the polishes, but only use a basecoat when the polish is a possible stainer. The Breathable line also contains argan oil and vitamins to help nourish your nails. To top it off, the colors in this collection are beautiful. Keep reading for swatch photos or watch the review below to see live swatches with comparisons.
Caught Off Guard
‘Caught Off Guard’ is an orange-yellow creme that was opaque in 3 coats. You may be able to wear this one in two coats, but I noticed some dark patches and preferred this in 3 coats. It did also take a bit longer to dry between coats. I will also note that this polish looks more yellow in bright lighting and sunlight; whereas it looks a tad more orange in darker lighting. It’s a great color for the season.
Look at the Thyme
‘Look at the Thyme’ is one of my favorite polishes from this collection. It’s an easy two coater that’s perfect for Fall. If you’re looking for the perfect neutral green, this is it!
Rooting for You
‘Rooting for You’ is a red toned brown creme. This is another beauty with a fabulous formula and is another fave from this collection. Check out my comparisons to see how this compares to other popular browns like Essie ‘No To-Do’ and Opi ‘Cliffside Karaoke.’
Yam it Up
‘Yam it Up’ is a gorgeous orange creme that is a must have! Another easy two coater that applies like butter. I was surprised to see that I didn’t have a lot of polishes in my collection that were this same color tone of orange. So perfect.
No Fig Deal
‘No Fig Deal’ is a beautiful burgundy. I love the way this polish applies. So many of these polishes have fabulous formulas. This polish looks so dark and rich on the nail. Definitely recommend picking this one up as well.
Back for S’more
‘Back for S’more’ is one of those polishes that is so dark that it looks black, but it’s not. This is a super deep, dark olive green. It looks black in almost all lighting except for super bright light and sun. It’s an easy two coater that will look fab on everyone.
Final Thoughts?
What are your thoughts on the new Orly Breathable Fall/Winter ‘Spice it Up’ Collection? Do you plan on picking any of these up? I’ve been very impressed with Orly Breathable nail polish collections the last few releases. I can’t see what the brand has in store for this line in 2024!
