The new Essie (Un)Guilty Pleasures Collection is a mid winter collection of 6 creme polishes with fabulous formulas. Many were confused as to whether this collection is the Spring Collection or a mid Winter Collection (much like the 9 piece ‘Swoon in the Lagoon‘ Collection). The mid Winter Collections tend to be three digits in the numbering system, and since these 6 polishes have three digits, it is most likely a mid Winter Collection as opposed to a Spring Collection (which would be a four digit number).
These polishes are currently available at Amazon (affiliate link), but I’m sure they will start popping up in stores near you soon! Here for the swatch photos? Keep scrolling. Curious about comparisons and live swatches? Watch the video below.
(Un)Guilty Pleasures
The namesake of the collection is one of my faves from this collection. This beauty applies like butta!! ‘(Un)Guilty Pleasures’ is a “rich teal green with blue undertones,” and is an absolute must have! I compared SO many polishes in my video, so check it out if you’re curious to see how this compares to other teal greens.
Caught in the Rain
‘Caught in the Rain’ is another absolute beauty from this collection. This is a “muted neutral sage green with gray undertones.” I thought I would have many dupes to this polish, but was surprised to see that I do not! It’s such a nice neutral that is perfect year round.
To Me From Me
‘To Me From Me’ is a “softened deep indigo blue with white undertones.” I don’t really get the “white undertone” aspect of the description. This is a nice denim blue that has an excellent formula.
Home by 8
I was so surprised when I applied this beauty! ‘Home by 8’ is one of my faves from this collection. This “faded soft black with red undertones” looks like it may be similar to Essie ‘Generation Zen,’ but they are different. The formula is one of those “glasslike” formulas that apply like Essie ‘Watermelon.’
No To-Do
Next up, we have ‘No To-Do.’ This is a “deep coffee brown with red undertones.” Another polish with a fab formula!
Snooze In
‘Snooze In’ is my least fave from this collection. This “warm pinky coral with yellow undertones” is beautiful, but I don’t love how it looks against my skin tone. The formula is lovely if you enjoy colors like this.
