Welcome back, friends!! Today, I am doing comparisons for the Essie Perfect 10 Collection! If you haven’t already watched my YouTube review on this collection, check it out here. This collection is an Ulta exclusive collection, so make sure you head over to Ulta.com if you want to pick it up! Alright…let’s get into comparisons!
Summer-Sault
So when I first saw ‘Summer-Sault,’ I was pretty sure it was a dupe for ‘Let’s Party’ from the Essie Midsummer Collection that was released in Scandinavia last year. It is definitely a pretty close dupe. ‘Let’s Party’ may be ever so slightly more pink, but not enough that many would notice. ‘Knotty or Nice’ from the Essie Winter 2019 Collection actually looks pretty close here, with the only difference being the chunkier glitters in that polish.
Balancing Act
When I first swatched ‘Balancing Act,’ I thought of ‘Get on Board’ from the new Let it Ripple Collection. It’s definitely very close, but a tad darker. Comparing the two next to each other below really shows the turquoise hues in ‘Get on Board.’ You can see here that the other polishes are darker, and therefore not dupes. I was actually surprised I didn’t have more blue shimmers in my collection that were similar!
Perfect 10
As you saw in my video, I was surprised by the green hues that were present in this polish! I immediately thought of ‘Million Mile Hues’ from the Winter 2018 Collection. They are similar, with ‘Perfect 10’ being a shimmer, while ‘Million Mile Hues’ is a metallic.
I compared ‘Perfect 10’ to a few other golds that were more yellow toned above just so you could see the differences.
Final Thoughts?
I almost didn’t even give the Essie Perfect 10 Collection a second look when I initially saw it. I totally thought I had seen all of these polishes enough to have little to no desire for them. A few of you started asking me about them, so I figured I would pick them up to review, and I became obsessed.
We actually HAVEN’T seen all of these before! The subtle differences in each polish makes them unique enough to own. Hope you are able to get your hands on these if they are available in your area!
