Spring is here!!! Well, the Essie Spring Collection is anyways. The weather in Seattle? Not so much!
Speaking of Seattle, I feel like this is such an appropriate collection to go along with Seattle rain! The collection is “inspired by the bliss of being caught in a passing spring shower.” We have a few showers every now and then. 😉
As far as the collection goes, I absolutely LOVE this color palette! There is not a color in this collection that I am not a fan of. I certainly have my faves, though, so read on for more on each polish!
Feeling Wellies
I’m not even going to say it…yes I am… You all know I love me some yellow nail polish!! This one is GORGE!!!!! It’s so unique with its red tones. Is it peach? Is it orange? Is it yellow? Whatever it is, I love it! This is 3 coats plus topcoat. Wonderful formula! This may be my fave yellow in my entire collection!
Make a Splash
Such a beautiful blue polish! “Make a Splash” is described as a “dusky blue with a blue and violet flip pearl flip.” I love pastel blue polishes, and the shimmer in this one just makes it extra special. An added plus, I wore this polish for 4 straight days with absolutely no chipping whatsoever. Polish is shown here with 3 coats plus topcoat. Obsessed! This is one of my faves from the collection.
Kissed By Mist
You can never go wrong with a pink polish, and cool toned pinks are my absolute fave. This is 3 coats plus topcoat. This polish had my least favorite formula, but it is STILL GOOD. It was a little more sheer than I thought it would be, but it built up nicely in 3 coats. I love that the shimmer is so visible on the nail. Stunning!
Spring in your Step
“Spring in your Step” is the most perfect lilac purple! It reminds me of Essie “Play Date” with shimmer. This is 3 coats plus topcoat. Beautiful color and great formula. I’d say this is on my top 3 list from the collection.
Rainwear Don’t Care
I’ve been wanting an Essie polish that is similar to OPI “My Vampire is Buff” for years. This one comes very close! I did 2 coats plus topcoat here. It has such a nice, smooth formula. I’d say this is probably my fave “off white” polish in my collection now. You can’t beat this formula, and I feel it’s a must have nude.
Can Dew Attitude
Green polish has been very popular for springtime the past few years, and I love it. This pastel green is perfect! This polish applies so smoothly, just as the other creme polishes in this collection. 2 coats plus topcoat here. This one is definitely my fave from the collection. I love greens, and this formula is top notch.
Final Thoughts?
I’ve always been a huge Essie fan, but never could really say that I felt their formula was superior to any other nail polish company. After the past few collections though, I feel like Essie’s formula is rock solid! They are making pastels so easy to apply. No longer do we have to apply up to 4 coats to get an opaque pastel. The new brush is also pretty life changing. The company is really making it easy to do nice at-home manicures!

Can Dew Attitude is AMAZING! I would venture to say it’s almost a one-coat wonder (although I still always do 2 coats regardless). It’s the only one I bought from this collection and it’s such a springtime staple!
